They are designed to be worn up the side of the lobe, however some people may prefer to wear them like drop earrings. Ear Wings are made using either crystals and pearls or 925 Sterling Silver, 14ct Yellow or Rose gold round or shaped beads. All metals used are hypoallergenic and nickel-free. They are sold in pairs - so you get one for each ear. You only need a single piercing in each lobe to be able to wear them. Some people prefer to wear just one, and then wear a plain stud in the other ear. You can also wear them in a top cartilage piercing (Helix Piercing).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThere is a small wire bar that runs through the piercing and up the back of the lobe. That is what holds them upright and stops them dropping down. It is 25 times thicker then regular Gold plating and lasts up to 30 years with every day wear. 14ct Gold Filled items are suitable for those who can only wear solid Gold, due to the thickness of the Gold layer, which will not wear away.
